This blog uses information that is publicly available, like police reports and public social media posts. Personal information like addresses and phone numbers is redacted before those police reports are released to us.

About comments on this website

Comments are encouraged. Differing opinions about what contributed to a crash and the best ways to prevent similar crashes in the future are always welcome. I will update the content if corrections or new ideas are shared in the comments.

There are some kinds of comments that will not be tolerated here.

  • Demonizing or blaming any of the participants in a crash (including drivers, pedestrians, police, cyclists, witnesses)
  • Uncivil comments including name calling, stereotyping and bullying
  • Spam
  • Off topic 

About funding

Crashes in Ann Arbor is a volunteer effort.  Contributors volunteer their time and effort without reimbursement.  Expenses, including web hosting and FOIA processing fees, are paid by Peter Houk.

CrashesInAnnArbor.org does not contain advertising and generates no revenue.
