Information About the Crash
Details of a fatal pedestrian crash were shared in a post on the AAPD Facebook account on August 17, 2024.
The incident was also described in the September 16 City Administrator’s report. In the monthly pedestrian crash report table, the pedestrian was described as “Standing/Lying in roadway.”

CIAA has submitted several FOIA requests to AAPD for the incident reports for this crash. The most recent response from AAPD was received on December 17, 2024. The FOIA request was denied because the incident is still under investigation.
This post will be updated if CIAA receives additional details that are relevant to city infrastructure or policy.
