Information About The Crash
CIAA learned about a crash at the intersection of Ashley and Washington from a FOIA of police records. The city administrator’s report from December did not include this crash with the other pedestrian and bicycle crashes from the month of November.
The UD-10 report describes a driver, distracted by his navigation system, accelerating through the intersection and causing a pedestrian in the crosswalk to fall and hit his head on the pavement. The driver, the pedestrian, and a witness all confirmed the details of the crash.
